In The Zone

The InZone Project

Founded in New Zealand in 2011 by Chicago-born Terrance Wallace, the InZone Project provides opportunities for minority youth to live in a nurturing residential environment with wrap-around support - allowing access to better education, tutoring, mentoring, leadership development, entrepreneurship, cultural development and life skills programs.

Today, the project has developed into the InZone Education Foundation with a local governing board of trustees in Aotearoa New Zealand. Its vision is to see Māori and Pasifika proportionately represented in the social, economic and civil leadership of the country. More information can be found here: https://inzoneeducation.org.nz/

In the USA, Terrance has established a new residence in Wauconda, Illinois and an associated programme in Gary, Indiana. Their driving vision is that every child deserves an equal start with a safe home in a safe community. More information can be found here: https://inzoneproject.org/
